THE IMPACT OF ECONOMIC GROWTH AND SOCIAL EXPENDITURE ON POVERTY REDUCTION. PANEL VAR ANALYSIS FOR SOME LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES, 2000-2019

The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact economic growth and social public spending on poverty reduction through a panel eight Latin America countries along period 2000 2019. In order do this, Panel Vector Autoregressive (PVAR) model applied. results show that has strongest influence reduction, in both short long run; and, while protection expenditure does not seem be significant forecast horizons, it seems run. According our error variance decomposition, around 40% variation due change growth; almost 16% expenditure.
